Our History
Since 1999, Sharp General Contractors has worked to make the construction process effortless for our clients by providing the very best solutions to their projects. We take pride in being able to help them transform their vision into reality.
Sharp General Contractors opens its first office in Boca Raton, FL specializing in:
- Commercial Construction
- Healthcare Construction
Sharp General Contractors experiences solid growth:
- Moves into its first standalone office/warehouse in Deerfield Beach, FL
- Adds two new employees
Sharp General Contractors Emergency Rebuilds:
- After Hurricane Charley devastated the Punta Gouda area, Sharp GC is tasked with building a 12-station Emergency Dialysis unit. With a team of 20, this expansion is accomplished in 72 hrs.
- Shortly after, Hurricane Frances and Hurricane Jeanne devastated Hutchinson Island 21 days apart and Sharp GC is contracted to rebuild both Island Club and Oceana Club that are left under six feet of sand.
- Helps rebuild the Longwood Condos after it was hit by a hurricane.
Sharp General Contractors makes an important move and supports a cause
- Moves into its own 3,500 sq. foot office in Pompano Beach, FL to accommodate growth.
- John Arasi and the team designs, builds, and begins storing the Hope Float for the American Cancer Society.
Sharp General Contractors reaches another important milestone:
- Celebrates 10 successful years in business. The two people depicted on the cake are John Arasi and Clare Sharp, the company’s namesake.
- The team grows to 14 employees.
Sharp General Contractors gives to a very special cause:
Sharp GC, and other generous sub-contractors, provides pro bono services to the Cancer Support Community of Greater Miami by constructing their new Kendall offices.

With its recent expansion of co-located employees, Sharp GC is onsite within hours to help our customers start rebuilding.
Expansion continues as we celebrate another huge milestone:
-Expands to over 11,000 sq. ft. of office-warehouse in Pompano Beach and celebrates its 20th anniversary with over 30 employees.
-Simultaneously works in the 3 furthest regions of Florida – Key West, Jacksonville, and West Pensacola.
-Becomes licensed in Alabama and South Carolina.
- Becomes licensed and is actively working in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
- Serves construction clients in six states across the Southeast.
